So It Begins.

With a universal link to the upwards sky, the birds are a connection to making everyone look up and away from their repetitive routine. Routine can breed social disconnect when commuting from place to place.

Hatch is the collaboration of Drew Bassin (the group's pioneer), Brianna Poalillo, Kelsey Hampton, Greg Lam, and Catherine Phung who use the bright visuals of the birds to grab the attention of passersby and if only for a moment, interrupt those from their habitual days or even better, stop to interact whether it be socially or internally.

Here's Drew from the beginning of the semester when he started it all.

More to come on on-campus "vandalism" and off-campus sites. Our "Hatch: Interact" event is tomorrow, Monday, November 1st, 2010! Find us on the Towson University campus walkways at 3PM to 5PM!
